What are full mouth dental implants?
Giving you back the long lost smile of your youth
Full mouth dental implants replace painful, damaged and missing teeth with new zirconia arches containing beautifully straight, white teeth that look and perform just like a perfect set of natural teeth. We first fix any bone loss or gum disease to give your implants the best start. You are sedated, making the experience pain free, and your gums are opened, allowing us to secure grade 5 titanium implants to your upper and lower jawbone. An abutment is added that extends up and out of your gum and a full bridge of up to 14 teeth is secured on top. In just one day you will swap your damaged and decaying teeth with a perfect new smile that lasts up to 20 years.

FAQs
Full mouth dental implants FAQs
Having full mouth implants is a major life-changing decision and warrants thorough research to make sure the treatment is right for you, and that you have made the right choice in dentist. To help, we have compiled the following FAQs that answer some of the most common questions about full mouth dental implants. If there's a question that isn't answered, then please contact us.
The cheapest full mouth dental implants cost £326.70 and are a Band 3 treatment provided by the NHS. Not everyone can have NHS implants which are only provided for medical, not aesthetic, reasons. NHS implants last five years and cannot be renewed by the NHS. As a result, you will need to seek replacements from a local private dentist.
Our cheapest full mouth dental implants cost just £18,995. This covers all sedation to make your treatment pain free, tooth extraction, a minimum of four dental implants on each jaw, grade 5 titanium posts, abutments and acrylic bridges containing up to 14 teeth each.
For just £29,995 you can upgrade to hard wearing monolithic zirconia bridges that can last up to 20 years and give you a more natural-looking smile.
Full jaw dental implants, also known as All-on-4 or All-on-6 dental implants, replace a full jaw of teeth with a bridge containing up to 14 teeth supported by a minimum of four grade 5 titanium dental implants. Also called a single arch, bridge or horseshoe of teeth, this treatment is a fast way to replace painful, broken and missing teeth with a perfect new smile.
Full jaw dental implants cost from £11,995 for an acrylic bridge, rising to £15,995 for a hard-wearing zirconia bridge. Our most expensive full jaw implants cost £29,995, adding individually positioned custom-made porcelain crowns that give the ultimate in ultra-white, natural-looking teeth.
Having a single arch replaced can cause bite issues, preventing you from comfortably eating. If this is a concern please speak to your dentist.

You can have full mouth dental implants if you have significant damage to your teeth, loose or missing teeth that are causing pain and discomfort when biting and chewing. Consider implants if:
- You have been told dentures are an option
- You have been told that you will eventually lose your teeth
- You have chronic gum disease
Before having full mouth dental implants you must have healthy gums and jawbones. During your consultation you will have CT scans, X-rays and photographs to identify any issues that will prevent implants from being successful.
You should stop smoking and limit your alcohol in-take to help prevent bone loss, gum disease issues and help your implants last up to 20 years.
If you are not eligible for dental implants consider an implant-retained snap-on denture or false teeth.
It is worth getting dental implants if you want to remove the pain and embarrassment of having missing, broken, discoloured and damaged teeth. For many patients full mouth dental implants are truly life-changing, and the end of years of discomfort and anxiety.
- Bite and chew without pain
- Look younger*
- Improve your ability to speak
- Smile with confidence
- No need to hide your teeth
*Implants remove puckering and lines around your mouth, filling out your cheeks to potentially make you look younger.
It is not painful to get full mouth dental implants. At the start of your procedure you will be sedated, removing all pain and putting you in a comfortable dream-like state. Discuss your sedation options with your dentist when you book a consultation.

Before your procedure
You will have a consultation with your local YDS dentist. Your dentist will create a treatment plan that outlines the steps needed to make your dream smile a reality.

- You will be sedated to make your treatment pain-free
- Your teeth will be extracted
- Your gums prepared to receive implants
- Pilot holes are drilled into your jawbone
- Grade 5 titanium implants are secured to your jawbone
- Abutments are added
- A temporary acrylic arch is fit, this gives you new teeth in a day
After your procedure
- In the next 3-4 months your gums will heal
- Your new custom bridge is designed
- A wax prototype of your final bridges are fit

Full mouth dental implants last up to 20 years with care. This timespan is not due to any material issues as the titanium and zirconia used can last longer, but is instead due to how your mouth changes. In rare occasions your implants can wear, causing your bridge to become loose. In both cases you will have several options open to you. Simply call to discuss your choices with your dentist.
